Become a Driver
With just an hour a week, you can help seniors and adults with disabilities continue to live independently in their homes and communities. It’s as simple as driving a short route, delivering a meal and saying a quick hello.
As a Meals on Wheels driver, you will join 350 weekly volunteers in delivering more than 1,000 meals per day throughout Salem and Keizer.
How does it work?

Commit to delivering meals 1 day per week from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Each route has between 8 – 12 recipients in the same relative area.

Learn Meals on Wheels guidelines at one of our training sessions.
- Collect prepped meals from the cafeteria inside Center 50+.
- Deliver meals, say a quick hello, and maybe pet a friendly dog or two.
Each day, Meals on Wheels volunteer drivers ensure that hundreds of local seniors in Salem and Keizer are able to live the full, independent lives they deserve.
