Meals on Wheels is more than just a meal. The Meals on Wheels program promotes the health, independence and social well-being of seniors and disabled adults in Salem and Keizer.
How do I receive a meal?
You can receive Meals on Wheels by calling 503-364-2856 or filling out this form and bringing it to the Meals on Wheels office located at Center 50+, 2615 Portland Rd. NE in Salem.
When are meals available?
Volunteers deliver a nutritious daily meal between 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with the option of having frozen meals delivered on Fridays for the weekend.
In-person dining is available weekdays at Center 50+. Lunch is served Monday through Friday, 11a.m. – 1p.m and are $7.00 in the dining room at 2615 Portland Rd. NE in Salem.

Meals on Wheels delivers in Salem and Keizer. If you live outside of Salem and Keizer, please contact Northwest Senior and Disability Services at 503-304-3400.
What is in a meal?
All of our meals include a hot main dish, vegetables, salad, a roll, and fruit. All meals are created by our very own team of chefs and culinary specialists.
Are the meals healthy?
Yes! Every meal is reviewed by a registered dietician and is in line with the American Diabetic & Heart Association’s moderate guidelines. Meals are low in fat, cholesterol, sodium and sugar and represent about 1/3 to 1/2 of the average older adult’s daily caloric intake and nutritional needs.
How much do meals cost?
We strive to make sure everyone gets the meals that they need, regardless of income. There are several ways to pay for a meal, including:

Purchasing home delivered meals for $7.50 per meal. Payment options include debit and credit cards and personal checks.

Meal programs that cover most or all of the meal cost. Call us at 503-364-2856 for more info. Qualification can be based on age, disability or income, depending on availability. If you currently have a caseworker with Northwest Senior and Disability Services, please inquire with them about home delivered meals at 1-800-469-8772.
