Meals on Wheels provides nutritious daily meals to homebound seniors and adults with disabilities while providing friendly check-ins that support these folks living the full, independent lives they deserve.
How do I receive a meal?
You can receive Meals on Wheels by applying here online or calling 503-364-2856.
How much do meals cost?
Meal pricing is flexible to ensure access for everyone no matter your income. Some people qualify for full or partial coverage of the cost of meals based on age, disability, or income. Private pay meals are also available at $7.50 per meal.
When are meals available?
Nutritious meals are delivered Monday through Friday between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Frozen meal options are also available on Fridays for weekend coverage.
Where are meals available?
Meals are delivered throughout Salem and Keizer. If you live outside this area, our staff will refer you to a local partner senior service provider for support.
In-person dining is available weekdays at Center 50+ in Salem from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m in the dining room. Cost: $7 per meal.
What is in a meal?
Each meal includes a hot entrée, vegetables, salad, a roll, and fruit. Meals are prepared by our trained culinary staff focused on quality and consistency.
Are the meals healthy?
Yes. All meals are reviewed by a registered dietitian and follow American Heart and Diabetic Association guidelines, supporting balanced nutrition with reduced sodium, fat, and sugar.
