We’re Helping Where Help is Needed Most

Families in Marion and Polk counties already struggling with the effects of the pandemic now face another emergency in the devastating wildfires raging across Oregon. As you know, the fires raging in nearby communities have hit Marion County the hardest, with thousands forced to evacuate and flee to safety.

Marion Polk Food Share is hard at work where help is needed. On Tuesday evening, people began arriving at the Oregon State Fairgrounds after evacuating their homes. On Wednesday, we delivered a truckload of shelf-stable emergency food to the temporary shelter. Please help now if you can.

We are in constant communication with local government officials about how to serve the children, families, and seniors in Marion and Polk counties who need us most.

We don’t know exactly what is to come but we do know the need in this area was already at an all-time high because of the pandemic, and it will only continue to grow.

If you need food assistance, please visit https://www.marionpolkfoodshare.org/get-help/. If you want to help, please donate now to help provide emergency food assistance to families in need.

We’ll continue to keep you updated as soon as we have more information to share. Thank you for all you do, and we hope you and your love ones are safe.
