Director of People and Culture

Lee McKenzie joined the Food Share in 2020 as the Director of People and Culture. Her responsibilities include leading the Food Share’s cultural practices, guiding diversity and inclusion efforts and overseeing human resources and employee engagement.

Her prior experience includes over 25 years at the Oregon Judicial Department, where she worked in a variety of positions focusing on improving juvenile and family court programs and services. She has also worked as a program director for both the YWCA and YMCA, served as an educational advocate for at-risk youth and taught middle and high school.

Lee holds a bachelor’s degree from Nazareth College and a master’s degree from Portland State University. She is an OSU Master Gardener who volunteers at community plant clinics and is a past board member with the Marion County Master Gardener Association. Lee has two young adult children and lives in Salem.
