Ian Dixon-McDonald came to the Food Share originally as a volunteer with a desire to get his hands dirty in the gardens. Currently he oversees Meals on Wheels, Community Programs, the Youth Farm, Community Gardens, nutrition education, and community food systems.

Ian is a graduate of University of Oregon (B.A. in Humanities) and Northern Arizona University (M.A. in Sustainable Communities/Food Systems). Prior to joining the Food Share, he taught high school and worked as a case manager for other local nonprofit organizations.

Ian is a native of the Willamette Valley. He lives in Salem with his wife and young sons.
