I am saddened by the sobering statistics regarding hunger in our community but am encouraged to support an organization that is helping so many of our neighbors.  I want to help support meaningful changes that continue to reduce food insecurity in our community.  – Ben

Ben Perry joined Marion Polk Food Share’s Board of Directors in September 2023.

Ben is the owner of Landis Consulting, a small Salem-based firm which provides electrical engineering for the construction industry. He enjoys managing, leading, and operating a small firm, and says that it is without question the most challenging endeavor he has ever signed up for.  He also worked as a bartender, green chain puller, and paper mill laborer in college, and even attended a week-long bartending school to learn how to make classic cocktails.

Ben and his wife, Kelsie, live in Salem and enjoy hiking, biking, snowshoeing and traveling.  In his spare time, he is passionate about automating tasks using VBA programming, and tries to automate nearly everything he does in Excel and Word.  He and Kelsie volunteer with their local church, St. Thomas, and support and volunteer with other Salem non-profits.
