Transforming Tables with Generosity
The holiday season, while filled with joy and celebration, often brings added pressures for families facing financial challenges. Your support of Marion Polk Food Share helps make the holidays easier for families in need
Because of you, this holiday season families in need are receiving fresh produce, including green beans, potatoes, onions, and apples, along with pantry staples, through the Food Share’s network of partner food pantries.
But the impact of your generosity truly extends beyond the dinner table. The food assistance families receive frees up resources for other financial pressures such as medical bills, utilities and other essentials. Many of the Food Share’s partner food pantries also offer extra support during the holiday season for families in need.
One such partner is Silverton Area Community Aid (SACA), a local nonprofit organization that helps with rent, food, utilities, transportation, and medical/dental costs. SACA recently expressed their deep gratitude for your support of the Food Share, and how it helps them provide holiday meals to local families in need.
“The consistency of how we are supported by Marion Polk Food Share has allowed us to do the specific things we want to do to better take care of our community,” says Adam, Development and Communications Manager at Silverton Area Community Aid.
“This time of year, people are extra grateful to receive the holiday meals. They are willing to wait in line because that’s so important to them to provide that for their family,” says Sarah, Executive Director at Silverton Area Community Aid.
