Fire devastates AWARE Food Bank in Woodburn

By Published On: August 17th, 2021

On August 16, there was a devastating fire at AWARE Food Bank in Woodburn, closing the building until further notice.

AWARE is one of the largest pantries in the Food Share partner network. Last year alone, AWARE distributed 1.3 million pounds of food.

We are heartbroken to see this pantry damaged at a time when so many are in need. Starting Thursday, August 19, we will be holding drive-through and walk-up food distributions in the parking lot adjacent to the building.

Every month, an average of 1,500 families receive the healthy food they need from this pantry.

We don’t know exactly what is to come, but we do know need in this area was already high because of the pandemic. If you want to help, please donate now to make sure our neighbors in Woodburn continue to receive the healthy food they need.

Your continued support means so much, especially during this urgent time of need.
