Wildfire response and service updates

As wildfires displace our neighbors and disrupt lives, we are working with emergency personnel in Marion and Polk counties to help those in need.

The Food Share would like to remind you that food is available at many local pantries and meal sites. To find assistance near you, visit https://www.marionpolkfoodshare.org/get-help/.

Updated Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2:17 p.m.:

Most pantries and services that were impacted by last month’s wildfires have resumed normal operations.

Food Pantries

All affected food pantries have now re-opened.

Farm Share Rx Distribution

Farm Share Rx distributions resumed as normal on Monday, Sep. 21.

Meals on Wheels

Marion Polk Food Share’s Meals on Wheels Program is delivering as normal. For drivers who need to cancel, please contact the Meals on Wheels office at 503-364-2856.

Fresh n’ Local

Meals on Wheels Fresh n’ Local distributions have resumed as normal.

Center 50+ and South Salem Senior Center lunches

Lunch pick-up at Center 50+ is operating as normal, and South Salem Senior Center is open for pick-up from 12-12:30 p.m.

Senior Grocery Program

The Commodity Supplemental Food Income (CSFI) has returned to its regular schedule.

Community Gardens

Community gardens are operating as normal.

Youth Farm

The Youth Farm is open. Volunteers interested in helping harvest may contact Perla Garcia-Villegas at 503-576-3418.
